Thank You!

The 1>0 girls want to thank Karilyn Mcloughlin and her fiance for becoming "Part of the Equation"! They made an incredible donation to the girls' charity by purchasing 65 necklaces to give out at their wedding! Good luck to you both and enjoy the bracelet Karilyn! (she bought one of those too!)

The girls also want to thank Lauren Meyers and the students at The Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. They raised $600 by having students and teachers donate $1 toward their dress down day. They donated the money to 1>0. The girls thank you, too, for becoming "Part of the Equation". What a great idea for a fundraiser!

Remember that the girls will be at the Roosevelt Field Mall, in Westbury, NY tomorrow. They will launch their spring charity line at Bloomingdale's. The girls will be selling their bracelets and necklaces too!

Newsday - March 10, 2008

Remember to pick up your copy of Newsday when it hits the stands on March 10th! The 1>0 girls will be featured in Part 2. You can read all about their accomplishments in addition to their future goals for their charity.

The girls have become pen pals with some very special children. Who you ask? Well, they just received a photograph of the 8 children they are responsible for saving. They have decided that they want to form a relationship with these children. Each girl chose a child's name from a hat. They will be corresponding with their chosen child. Ofcourse, their hope for the future is to travel to Ghana so that they can meet all of these children in person. Until then, writing to them will have to do.

Have you picked up last Thursday's issue of LI Press? There was a beautiful article written about the girls and their 1>0 charity. A special "thank you" to Ms. Beverly Fortune for taking the time to meet with the girls and for writing such an informative piece.
