E-mails

The 1>0 girls continue to be moved by the e-mails they are receiving every day. They enjoy answering them personally. Here is one e-mail, out of the hundreds that they have received, that shows how serious and real the problem in Ghana really is:

Comment: I just wanted to voice my support for this wonderful organization. I had the honor of meeting Mark and Kofi, the two boys featured in Oprah's story earlier this year. I was in Ghana, Africa this past January. Upon being lost I wound up at the Village of Hope orphanage to ask for directions. Fate brought me to those two boys where I learned of their tragic history and the tragic epidemic of child slavery in the fishing villages. I am so elated to see young girls raising awareness about this issue. I've always believed that every little thing you can do, even if it seems little, can make a difference. If you are not doing something to help you are part of the problem. You girls have the right attitude- you might not be able to change the whole world, but one is better than none. Thank you girls for the dedication of starting this organization. If only the world thought the way you do. Sincerely, Hana

The girls keep making those bracelets and necklaces every day and they will continue to do so. They are heading to New Jersey on Saturday, December 8th. If you're in the area, stop by:
HIP CHIC
195 Bellevue
Upper Montclair, NJ
Directions can be found on the girls' website. Remember that 100% of all jewelry sales and 20% of all clothing sales goes to their charity. The more donations they receive, the more children they can save.

A special thank you to the owner and sales people of Incredible Feets of Bellmore! Your support meant a great deal to the girls!
